I taught myself cooking after moving to Brighton 10 years ago. I missed homely food which my mum made for me,which she learnt from my grandmother in the Punjab region of India. My earliest memory of cooking was during Diwali, the festival of lights, with all my family. My favourite cuisine is anything made with attention and love. The care someone puts into their food does really come out in the taste and the joy it brings those eating it. My family are originally from India and sharing our Indian heritage and culture through my cooking is something I hold close to my heart. Cooking for friends and family is my favorite past time. I’m Tajinder Kaur, I’m Food for Soul!
